CEO named Finalist in Queensland Government 'Smart Women - Smart State' Awards
An initiative of the Office for Women, ‘The Smart Women - Smart State Awards’ shine the spotlight on women and girls who are leading the way in science, engineering and information and communication technology (ICT). The awards recognise Queensland's brightest women and girls achieving in their education or careers in non-traditional fields. Recently, JobFit Systems International CEO, Jenny Legge, was named as a 2008 finalist in Category 10: Women in Industry / Business – Information and Communications Technology.
When asked what winning this Award would mean to her, Ms Legge replied, “The recognition would be great, but more importantly I hope that it will reassure not only other women but all Queenslanders that it is possible to build a successful IT business in regional Queensland. If you really want something, you can do it.”
Winners will be announced at the Smart Women – Smart State Awards 2008 ceremony held in Brisbane on 2 September 2008.

JobFit System well received at ANZA Technology Network Showcase
Founder and CEO, Jenny Legge, received praise following presentation at the ANZA Technology Network Showcase conference held in the Silicon Valley. ANZA technology network is the leading technology network connecting the Australian, New Zealand and US markets. The conference is designed for innovative Australian and New Zealand technology comnpanies who are looking to enter or enhance their presence in the US. JobFit Systems made some excellent connections and leads as a direct result of the conference.

JobFit Systems forms an 'Alliance for Excellence' with WorkHab
JobFit Systems International are very pleased to announce that they have formed a strategic alliance with Australia’s leading provider of functional capacity evaluation services, WorkHab FCE Systems.
WorkHab is an Australian rehabilitation training and resource company, providing and promoting functional based services to industries and individuals worldwide. The WorkHab Functional Capacity Evaluation is the most widely used FCE in Australia and New Zealand and is well respected by insurers, rehabilitation companies and employers in both locations. WorkHab has also developed the only fully integrated Hand and Upper Limb (HUL) Assessment in the world. The HUL has set the benchmark for functional assessments internationally and the WorkHab FCE has been used to develop many functional components of Pre-Employment Screening processes around the country.
WorkHab has joined forces with JobFit Systems to promote and integrate the JobFit System into industries across Australia and overseas. WorkHab and JobFit Systems have a natural affinity for combining forces to provide such a comprehensive and integrated physical assessment program that is suitable for any industry. WorkHab will be the exclusive training provider for Modules One and Two of the JobFit System Training Program. They will also operate as Sales Partners in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

JobFit Systems’ MD wins ACARP grant
JobFit Systems’ Managing Director, Jenny Legge, in conjunction with Associate Professor Robin Burgess-Limerick, have won an ACARP research grant for their project titled "Developing and Validating the JobFit System Functional Health Assessment Method for Controlling Sprains and Strains".
The Australian Coal Association Research Program (ACARP) is a collaborative research program that is funded by and conducted for the benefit of the coal mining industry. ACARP will fund projects that lead to improvements in safety standards and performance, a reduction in the environmental impacts of mining and coal utilisation, a reduction in the mine operating cost and technical support to marketing of coal. Each year the ACARP Committees select approximately 60 projects from the 300 submitted that enjoy industry-wide support and involvement. The successful Legge & Burgess-Limerick proposal fell within the Safety & Occupational Health category. Results of the project are expected to be presented at industry events and published in conference proceedings and journals.
Assoc Prof Robin Burgess-Limerick, PhD, is Senior Lecturer in the Human Movements Department at the University of Queensland, Australia and coordinator of their Masters of Ergonomics program. He is widely published and internationally respected in the field of Ergonomics.

JobFit Systems International receive ITSAP grant from Queensland Government
JobFit Systems International have been awarded an ITSAP grant by the Queensland Government to assist in their international expansion. The International Trade Show Assistance Program (ITSAP) is a competitive assistance package aimed at developing and expanding export opportunities for Queensland information and communication technology (ICT) and biotechnology firms particularly new exporters and exporters entering new markets.

JobFit Systems International Pty Ltd was awarded a prestigious AusIndustry Commercialising Emerging Technologies (COMET) grant from the Federal Government to assist with the commercialisation of its innovative software product… JobFit is receiving assistance with business planning, market research and formulation of effective marketing strategies, as well as intellectual property advice and technical support with prototyping. COMET is a very competitive program which supports the most promising start-up companies with not just financial assistance but also input from experienced consultant business advisers from the private sector.
